He is the son of veteran comedians and actors Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara. He started on Broadway and started in films & TV in 1987. He got noticed by Saturday Night Live where he eventually wrote and was part of the cast for a short bit. Eventually he found his own with his TV show The Ben Stiller Show and the rest is history. He also writes, directs and produces films.
